Rainbows are expected after the rain #seattlelife #hooplove
I have been taking care of this handsome devil since he was 6months! We have a special bond ^_^
Hoop life is the best life
First of all, “personal” means it affects only you, and eating meat affects the animals you’re murdering so no, it is not a personal choice.
Second of all, yes, it IS a choice, but if you acknowledge that you have a choice, why would you choose cruelty?
Because we need…
I have plenty of protein in my diet minus all the cholesterol, feces and general rotting flesh, breast milk and periods. Obviously it’s a choice, everything is a choice, but I can’t “leave it at that” when you can say things like that, pretending your dietary choices don’t have a real, negative impact on others. Imagine a situation in which a serial killer says “Leave me alone. Killing those people was a choice. Let’s just agree to disagree” and maybe you can begin to imagine how ridiculous you sound right now.
I’m not saying the slaughter industry isn’t bad and I do not seek to support them what so ever but it is still my choice to enjoy meat and it’s not fair of anyone to try and make someone feel guilty for that because it IS their choice. What I am saying is I choose to seek out locally grown meat, organic grass fed that sort of thing and that is still my choice at least I know it came from somewhere at least much more acceptable than big name corporation slaughter. And that’s what is MY choice and no one else has the right to make me feel bad for the way I choose to nourish myself just like no one has the right to make you feel bad for the way you do yours.
So, that means I can go kill your mom and dad and eat them? I mean, it’s my choice, right?
That’s a ridiculous statement and I am sure we can all agree that isn’t the same thing at all. I am not trying to bash those that make the choice not to eat meat what I’m trying to do is make all of you who want to make others feel bad for their health choices realize that that isn’t ok to do. That’s what’s wrong here not the matter of whether you choose to eat meat or not it’s how you choose to judge and bash those who do not make the same lifestyle choices as you.
